Kentucky's street legal laws are very open to vehicle modifications. There are no restrictions on a vehicle's suspension, frame, or bumpers. Drivers can install suspension lift kits, aftermarket wheels and tires, performance shocks, aftermarket bumpers, and grille guards without worry.

All tires on vehicles driven in Kentucky must be safe. There is no listed minimum tire tread depth. Tire grooving is prohibited.
